Here's a cool retro image of a young girl pulling out of her parking spot in her
Corvette Junior. If you were lucky enough to have a cool
miniature car like this to cruise around in when you were a kid, then your family was probably fairly well off financially. These were not cheap toys, they were drive-able miniature cars, made from
real metal, and priced as high as several hundred each, and
that's back in the
50's & 60's.

Here's another picture of a miniature Corvette, this one is a 1958 Yardman Corvette JR. You can see the differences between these two models as the one above appears to be modeled after a mid sixties Corvette, while the one below is late 1950's.
The image below should give you an idea of the complexity and craftsmanship that these cars were manufactured with. These were first produced as limited edition promotional tools, and were sometimes powered by real gas engines. I'm not sure if the one in the top picture is gas or electric powered.
